What makes our cakes so special?
Taste first! As lovers of fine food, we're firm believers that cakes should taste as good as they look. Whether it's simple classic flavours done well, or something that's a little "extra", the essence of every cake we bake is our ingredients, and we're passionate about using high quality and locally sourced produce as much as possible.
This means always real Scottish butter for maximum flavour, freshly delivered free-range Perthshire eggs from our local farm, Belgian couverture chocolate, and British milled flour.
Baked freshly to order from scratch every time, don't expect anything less than delicious homemade compotes, curds, caramels and pralines, or locally produced artisan jams in between fluffy sponge layers, silky buttercreams and decadent ganaches.
In the age of Instagram where looks always luck out, we'd love to add a taste and smell button so you could discover just how amazing our cakes are on the inside too.

Ready to Order Celebration Cakes Menu
Our ready to order celebration cakes offer a taste of all our delicious cake flavours, just without a customised design. We produce them with a simple but pretty finish, perfect if you are looking for the luxury and indulgence of a quality handmade cake, but at a slightly lower cost, a quick and convenient ordering process, and available with less notice required for your order.
Choose from our varied selection of cake flavours. From our classic varieties, to signature flavours, as well as rotating seasonal specials, there's sure to be something to tempt your taste buds.
All our cakes have four layers of sponge, triple filled with corresponding buttercream and fillings between each layer, finished with a coating of buttercream and decoration similar to pictured.
Cakes are approximately 6" tall, and are presented on a cake board in a box, ready for collection from our home-based bakery studio in Birnam, Dunkeld.

Bespoke Birthday Cakes
Depending on our wider diary availability, we usually take orders for bespoke birthday cakes up to two months in advance, but always require a minimum of three weeks notice to allow plenty of time for us to consult with you to plan the cake design, and order any specific extras for your order, such as any flowers, toppers or even any specialist equipment or ingredients.
Our bespoke birthday cakes are available to order in any of the flavours listed above in our Ready to Order Celebration Cakes Menu, but the exterior finish and look will be tailored to your preferred design and colour scheme, as agreed during our planning discussions.
Due to the bespoke nature of these cakes, an exact price will given once the final design is agreed, based on factors such as: size, selected flavour, intricacy of design and any additional extras required to complete the cake design. Please refer to the guide below for starting prices and approximate portions, and browse our gallery for examples of some previous bespoke cakes to get an idea of our style. Please note, we do not offer novelty/themed cakes or sugar-crafted model figurines.
Bespoke birthday cakes are available in various sizes, up to a small three tier, and will be presented on a cake board and boxed suitable for your collection and onward transportation. Please consider that a three tier cake is quite heavy and much more challenging to handle and transport.

Cupcakes & Little Loaves
Lovers of little cakes rejoice, our cupcakes and little loaves are for you. Equally as scrumptious as our larger celebration cakes, made with all the same quality produce and given just as much attention, these individual cakes are perfect for a slightly less formal occasion, or where individual portions are preferred.
With a focus on classic, seasonal and nostalgic flavours, our cupcakes and mini loaf cakes have a beautifully simple finish with buttercreams and decorative edible garnishes to really let the taste do all the talking!
With flavour combinations to suit everyone - adults, little kids and big kids - our little cakes have been a hit at many a childrens' birthday party, rustic wedding celebration, and special family gathering.
